Aging in a house built for a younger life

A lot of homes around Mount Pocono were bought as weekend places and became permanent ones. They tend to have the features that make aging in place hard: split levels, a bedroom up a flight of stairs, a long unpaved drive, and a good deal of distance from the nearest anything.
